Anyone have experience with Michelon X-Radial DT P185/65R15 86T tires? That is what a tire dealer in my area recommended.

    Thanks,

I am new to this forum and need some help. I have an '02 Prius that goes through tires frequently. I have to put a new set on now (after getting only a year and not much more than 20,000 miles out of the last set put on by Toyota of Hollywood), and want to find something that will last. The recommended size for my car is 175/65/14. The local Just Tires wants to sell me Integrities, but they seem to be unpopular on this site.

Can anybody recommend a good long-lasting tire for a first generation Prius?

    Thanks!

if you're a member of Costco, go check them out and see if they have the Michelin MXV4 radials. I heard they are being discontinued, but they are a good tire.

I just replaced the OEM tires with Pirelli Cinturato P3000 P185-65R-15 tires. I have noticed a 10% reduction in mileage (was 49 to 50 and now 44 to 45). I am thinking about going back to Discount Tire to have these replaced with the Goodyear Comfortred based on what I have read in these forums.

I have the Pirelli Cinturato P3000 P185-65R-15 tires in, and I get about 52 mpg. 48 if I'm not paying attention which is about the same as I got with the stock.

Why, is something wrong with them? I've been thinking about the Yokohama Avid Tourings, and was actually going to get them this time around, but they didn't have them in stock, so I just went with the Pirellis again.

    Any thoughts?
