Class 1 Hitch for my Prius Prime 2017 to town an ultra light teardrop

    Im interested in getting a class i trailer hitch for my 2017 prius prime to town an ultra light teardrop (so, not a bike rack) However, the service department where i bought my car from STRONGLY advised against it as they felt that it would very negatively impact my electrical system. Have anyone done this successfully?

    I am curious, have them explain what on the electrical system specifically, because.. that's a first! ... how much does teardrop weigh? do you know the tongue weight?
