Anyone who has had this for over 2 years....How has the wear been? Does it hold up?

I hear ppl with dogs get a lil beat up....I dont own a dog, my idea, is to resell this in 3-4 years and say it has leather. Can I do this or what?

Of course you can, they don't notice it.

I have some wear due to my dogs digging in the middle, but no winkles, rips, just worn looking at the seat bottom.

Do you have pics to see how it holds up after that amount of time?

I spent some time carefully reviewing the picture of installed seat. I see some wrinkle on the seat by the side; will they eventually go away?

Can anyone comment on how 'hot' the PVC version is?

I'm debating on getting the leather--but I don't like perforations...and prefer the solid look...which brings me to PVC.

Any comments appreciated! I am okay with paying $150 to not burn my butt on hot summer days.

I just responded to your PM with my thoughts... Being as you are in Michigan, you will probably be fine with the PVC Covers, especially if you use the money you save to install seat heaters! The PVC is liable to be more brutal (cold) in the winter than uncomfortably hot in the summer!

    Hi Mike,

I own the full PVC version of these covers and they DO get hot but just as hot as real leather imho. My previous car had real solid leather and my experience so far is that they put out about the same radiance from both seat types. The only difference I noticed is that with PVC, in extreme heat, the material gets a little soft but is still durable, it's a little hard to explain.

My full PVC version came with perforations with a layer of soft foam underneath it. I think it is standard on all full PVC versions. You may want to ask your vendor or Clazzio direct if you can custom order the covers without it. I believe the solid option they have is suede but that would obviously only be available with the real leather. I'd also recommend that you request a sample pack here to get you started.

    Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I am about decided on the PVC. And I plan on heated seats for the fronts as well. I'm still debating the back....as my children will be in booster seats for a long while...

After doing more research and talking with TRDsparks, all of the seating surfaces are perforated--I just wasn't paying attention in the pictures enough to realize it.

I will post pics after my install, but I am definitely going custom.

Totally agree! I wish I had the heated seats.

That is something I did not consider. Especially wearing scrubs-which are more or less pajamas I might have freezing buns for a few mins....

This was originally why I wanted the suede inserts....but with kids they just seem to be harder to keep clean with the ivory look I wanted.

If I understand the installation correctly, the only thing you have to remove is the rear seat bottoms, correct? No seat belt removal, etc.

Hey I just wanted to get a slight update to the thread. And just to note I have a 2007 Camry Hybrid, however, I have the bisque interior as many of you do.

I went with a custom design since I am in no hurry and wanted to tie in the gray/bisque combo. I went with ivory as well.

I also ordered a heated seat kit for the passenger and driver seats.

I went with the leather for $390 shipped (as of 8/2011) and got them from TRDsparks.

I'm thankful to the members on here for their help!!

I will post up pics when I finish the install. I plan on ordering more material down the road to tie in the door panels--if they end up bothering me.

Thanks again for a great topic/post!

    -Mike

I've read through this entire thread. Lots of great info. My new Prius III is scheduled to be delivered in the next 10 days.

The one question I still have is whether or not one can access the LATCH locations for child seats (specifically on the rear seat backs.) I have a 10 month baby old and need to be able to get car seats in for some time.

    iPhone ?

They don't interfere with the LATCH system, they just cover the fabric on the seats and don't cover or restrict use of any other features.

Just to add to the conversation. TRDSparks.com is still offering a good deal on Clazzio Covers. I emailed them and got the following response on special pricing.

Placed my order today. I should have my new all gray leather seats within a few days of the delivery of my new Prius Three this week or next.

My set is in and I am VERY happy! Gray outer, Ivory insert (leather), Ivory stitching!!

Keep in mind i have a camry and I haven't gotten all the wrinkles out just yet. I did pre-install the seat warmers though :)

The leather feels amazing I'm VERY happy I opted for it.
