cleaned hv fan today, missing the white plastic shroud?

    hi all, I decided to follow the nuts 'n bolts hv battery fan cleaning video tutorial today, and have found that my 2010 is missing the white plastic fan shroud that is shown in one step of the video... is that thing critical in any way? it's on my list now, but would be good to know how high upon the list it should be... tia all!

    thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay in response, the white plastic shroud/cover Im referring to can be seen at 4:28 in the Nuts/Boltz video, and also my sincere thanks to you for making both that one as well as the plethora of others... very helpful to us noobz.

    ah the fan shroud cover, I think its just to cover the HV fan to prevent any possible damage to that area. I would buy it if its cheap, if not and if it hasn't bothering you in anyway, it should be fine. Its possible that more lint and hair can go into the fan shroud more easily since its not covered up...
