    Hey all,

I’ve noticed a clicking noise when I push my 2008 Prius in neutral in my garage to get it closer to the door for access. I have tried searching for problems similar but the CV/transaxle problem videos I saw sound different.

I jacked the car up to replicate the noise and noticed that it does it whilst spinning slow and stops once the wheel spins faster. The same noise happens spinning either front wheel. When it clicks it feels quite notchy.

When driving if it’s REALLY quiet outside you can hear the noise but it stops once you hit like 3km/h.

Car has 300k km’s (180k miles) on it. Original axles, transaxle fluid changes at 200k and recently 280k.

Probably not related but have recently noticed at highway speeds the steering wheel will have a slight “stick” after trying to make small adjustments. Other than that the car drives great.

I have a video but I can’t post the link until I have made 4 posts. I tried embedding it but it’s a YouTube short so I assume that’s why I couldn’t get it to work either. I’ll post it once I can. I have read this forum for years and love it but have only just registered now which is embarrassing.

Any advice is welcome, I understand without the video “clicking” is quite vague.
