Possible pinging/preignition caused by carbon buildup. Most evident with a low hv battery on initial acceleration. If you have access to high octane gas, eg around 93 US standard, try a tank. If the sound goes away it is pinging.

    That sounds like head gasket.

Have you found out the cause of the noise?

We started to hear some kind of quick clicking noise when accelerating lightly with gas engine after 260K KM (160K mile) with our 2010 Prius. Doesn't matter if the engine is cold or warm. Most noticeable at lower speed (may due to lower tire/road noise). No noise when the gas engine is off, i.e. the car runs on battery only.

It sounds like some thin sheet metal vibrating under the chassis. Checked for loose exhaust pipe or heat shield. But all parts are secure & not loose.

Also just cleaned intake manifold, EGR pipe/valve/cooler, PCV valve not that long ago in 2022.
