Had some noise from front suspension area —suspension is fine, everything ok. The source appears to be a missing clip that holds together 2 pieces of underbody plastic in the wheel arch.

The underbody is flexing and moving around more than it should creating a noticeable ‘loose’ sound at low speeds. The outer plastic housing with the front parking sensor is noticeably less firm to the touch than on the other side.

Here’s the other side which is fine:

And here’s the side with the missing clip:

I’m a couple of months away from my next service and I’m sure they’ll sort it then. In the meantime is there a quick fix?

If you can determine the broken fasteners, you could pick up a few from your dealership's parts department, replace them yourself. If enough fasteners are missing, the odds increase something will droop, snag and then you have a larger issue.

You don't have to nail down on the parts numbers either: if you show pics to the parts guy, they're pretty adept at sorting out what you need.

Thanks Mendel. Yeah, I’m a couple of months away from my next service and I’ll ask them to sort it then. Hopefully they won’t charge me £50 for a part that costs about 5 pence :)

Here those fasteners are around $2~3 CDN apiece. If possible, just deal with parts department and install yourself; service department may be nice about it, or ding you 1/2 hour labour.
