I repaired the battery on my Prius 2007, and there are now VSC/traction lights as well as the Master Warning Light, and TIS is showing C1259/1310(subcode 156) and P3000(subcode 123) with P0AFA. TIS also shows M.I.L alongside the P3000/P0AFA codes.

The HV battery is showing 1 purple bar, and the gasoline engine revs up in an attempt to charge it, but the HV battery never gains any bars. It seems to me that the battery never receives the incoming voltage. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

Recent repairs: fixed the HV battery cooling fan (corroded terminals), replaced 12V battery today.

There is another chapter in the service manual specifically for the HV battery but I am unable to attach the link for it for some reason. Anyway, the P0AFA indicates the voltage of one or more blocks is less than 2V. This means either the bus bar, the harness connected to the battery ECU, or the battery ECU itself has an issue. The harness connection to the ECU has been known to corrode so look closely at it since this is the most likely reason for the error. Also closely check each signal wire from the modules to the ECU harness to be sure you have continuity at all 15 wires.

TIS shows voltage of all blocks hovering in the 15.2V range atm, with about +/- 0.1V. State of Charge on the battery is ~35%, but is slowly decreasing despite the motor running in an attempt to charge.

I will take a look at the harness, as there is some amount of corrosion on the HV battery cover (appears previous owner had a small child that spilled some drinks). Thanks for the insight.
