    Is transmission replacement the usual cure for P3009?

    No, and any hybrid system component exposed to high voltage DC or AC potentially can be the cause of P3009.

    Since the transaxle is the most difficult and costly part to replace out of the list of suspect items, you'll want to be very sure that is the failed part before replacing it.
