cold weather driving

    If you're "lucky" enough to be raised a farmboy, you also learn not to pee on an electric fence.

    But you have to try at least once. Especially if your friends are encouraging you to. Some friends ...



    I believe there is a story here that needs elaboration, as painful as it may be for you and for anyone reading.

    Sounds like the kind of childhood experience that is fodder for your life long therapist.

    Though I'm still waiting for somebody to try to lick my Prius at -40! I'll make sure to keep my digital camera handy, that sort of picture is priceless!

    80 degrees here in LA today.

    I was monitoring outside air temp as I drove through the mountains,
    it was about 41 degrees. But I suspected the roadway was colder
    so I took the yellow "ICY" caution signs very seriously. Apparently
    the low temperature indicator light measures temperature near
    the road, a good thing.

    Icy road conditions didn't seem to be a factor in the JPL van pool
    accident.
