Coming up on 175,000 miles. Any advice on all-around tune-up or maintenance?

    Hi all,
New here, just registered to ask this particular question.
I'm rolling my 2013 Prius V close to 175k. To date, the ONLY thing I have had to fix on this vehicle is the brake pads just once! I love this freaking car and don't ever want to let it go. Sure wish they were still making it instead of that knock-off suv thing.

Seeing as how I've not had to do maintenance - literally nothing has ever gone wrong, knock on wood - I'm feeling like I should be bringing it in somewhere to give it a gigantic once-over.

It rides just like new. Suppose it's slightly louder than day one, but not much. So this is really preventative maintenance outside of my usual oil changes.

Any advice? Is it as simple as going to a dealer and saying "Hey, give it the ol' 175,000 mile once-over!" and leaving it at that?

    Thanks all.

    Mike

You need to get the egr system taken apart and cleaned or replaced asap. Especially the egr cooler. Could save a head gasket. Spark plugs and pcv for sure. Change all fluids especially the brake fluid.

Clean intake manifold too, it's the last leg of the EGR circuit. Pay particular attention to the small diameter passages at each port. Leave throttle body coolant lines attached if advantageous, and do clean throttle body too, while it's off. ASAP.

If you have this work done at the dealer expect to pay well over $1000.00 And they probably won't do it correctly or all of it....
And get the trani fluid changed....

Yeah. My 2 cents: the best time to have done that would be 165,000 miles ago. Then maybe once more around 75,000 back.
