Compare your Prius to a conventional car!

    Here's a pretty cool calculator! You choose a hybrid (the Prius) and a conventional car (something a relative or friend drives), then input things like original cost, annual mileage, years of ownership, average gasoline cost (just saw on the evening news as of today the nationwide average was $2.53), and it will compare lifetime emissions, lifetime cost, annual maintenance costs, and resale values. It will break the numbers down to tell you what your average savings-per-mile and annual savings are.

    This sure helps reaffirm our choice! (as though we needed to!) ;-)

    Great tool -- thank you, Wayne!

    I wasn't so much interested in the $$ cost, as in how much less CO2 and other emmissions I was "saving". Yow!
