my gen2 Prius compressor goes off after the engine is been driven for some hours. What could be wrong with ac compressor to make it go off itself. I noticed this after been driven for some hours. @bisco . I fix this car myself, I am wondering what could be the problem. I have scanned the compressor but there is no fault code. 2005 Prius in the car

Temperature setting controls the compressor when in auto mode. Is it at set point?

This is a question in the Gen 2 forum about a Gen 2, so no. In the Gen 2 repair manual (more info), the detection condition for B1475 is:

The link given in #6 is to a thread about the same code in Gen 3. But in Gen 3 the compressor's power electronics are in the compressor itself, cooled by refrigerant. In Gen 2 those electronics are in the inverter assembly, cooled by the circulating pink stuff.

Another, PriusCamper and SFO like this.
