Conclusions from suppressed EPA report on CO2 Endangerment

    I remember high school chemistry. I don't think I want to be a part of one. My idea of "greatest degree practicable" is pretty serious.

    Seriously, I don't think we know exactly what will happen but I see no reason to think it will be good.

    "Practical" is the key word here. What GHG reductions are practical at having a desired effect on climate outcomes? I don't place a lot of confidence that any currently considered efforts (such as Waxman-Markey) will have a meaningful effect on climate outcomes. Certainly, projections are that they won't.

    That said, I am all for reducing fossil fuel use when and where possible, particularly when such reductions have other beneficial consequences (i.e., reduced pollution, reduced reliance on imported energy, cost reductions, potential ocean acidification issues, etc). That is why I drive a Prius, use CFLs, etc.
