I was just trying to show the OP that this happens to other people when the weather starts cooling down. I wasn't really talking about you as I figured you already knew. The OP just doesn't seem to want to listen to any others that have more experience. Sorry about the confusion. ;)

He lives in Portland, OR. It's the same metropolitan area that I live in. :)

If he was as smart and informed as you he would not be posting such problems. Some people come here for help on a particular issue, other to share knowledge while the learn a bit and stay well ahead of the curve. But the may get more useful information here than from their dealer or friends.

I do think the title of the thread is way too agressive..

i think you misunderstand. my point is that he is not engaging in dialog. he made one comment to clarify, but if he is as concerned as his title would imply, he would help himself by asking follow up questions and providing more info when necessary.

That would be if f he really wants to understand the issues. If his "approach" is to complain loudly and hope to get toyota to do something to placate him, then he does not need to listen, just complain in many ways and many places. And admitting that maybe its operator misunderstanding is harder to do than to presume something is wrong and complain to toyota. And to be fair, there could be something more there. Battieres are composed of hundreds of cells and only 1-2 being bad can cause the whole pack to have degraded performance. It might not fail, but it could be out of spec.

My EV range has been climbing this week. After hanging in the 11's, it is up to 12.2 mi.

No its getting colder. But I had tire pressure down around 27-29 psi, that I got up to a little over 35.

The first week I had to make a drive over a canyon and onto the freeway, so that brought me down. And I also have been working on some of the techniques like gliding.

I haven't been using the A/C at all in EV mode at all. I have been driving pretty consistent 14 miles on a charge but estimated EV wanders around on its own seemingly.

Yes, can we sticky a thread w/a more appropriate title? If Toyota has a KB article/FAQ on the behavior, it'd be good to point to that to.

If someone can write up a good Wikia entry, putting it somewhere at Prius Wiki would be nice as well... ;)

I wouldn't want this one stickied w/the misleading title it's got now ("Don't buy a prius plug-in tell they solve their battery problems").
