    As a doctor, you are permitted illegible handwriting. Or perhaps required to write illegibly. But I think you're supposed to spell correctly. I've heard that pharmacy students take special classes on how to read doctors' handwriting. But you can't really expect them to guess at misspelled drug names. Maybe a patient needs oxylevyltricoloramyldrine but you misspell it as oxylevyltricolyramyldrine which turns out to have the opposite effect. :(

    I thought 'scribbling for doctors' was at least a third year course. :) (Like I'm one to talk - people think I write in secret code or something.)

    I had dreadful handwriting when I was in my teens, and maybe into my early 20's. Then at some point I decided that was unacceptable, and I sat down and learned to write legibly. It's not all that hard to do.
