Converting the console for secure storage

My wife carries. When she goes to a school zone she must leave the gun in the car. She does not want to get our of the car, open the trunk, and expose her gun to the public or our son (who does not know she carries). She needs a quick secure and concealed way to store the gun. We do have a gun safe that has a cable wrapped around the front seat leg, but it would be much quicker, more secure, and easier to have a console safe. Sadly we can't find one for our Prius.

Believe it or not, concealed carry permit holders are among the most law abiding citizens in the country...above and beyond Police Officers.

I know it’s a fun narrative to assume that gun owners are blood thirsty murderers, buts it’s just not the case.

If someone would literally lose their mind over an incident on the road and try to kill someone, you probably don’t need to worry about them coming on a PRIUS forum and asking for ways to safely secure their firearm in their vehicle.
