Cooling system performance for hybrid battery is low

    I try cleaning the cooling system for the hybrid battery but found out there is no filter....clean ducts and motor for dust and disconnect battery to reset message from computer....but dont know if thats gonna work. 20200620_014921.jpeg

    was there much clogging? if not, you may have to open the battery case. you can make a filter, or buy one online.

    You got to and cleaned the fan? If so, dirty was it? If not, you should do that.

    I believe this is the cooling system for the inverter not the fan.

    The plastic filter is from Toyota, about $14.
    The foam is from Lowe's. $3 or $4???? Cut to fit.

    NOPE. Says right there on the dashboard: Hybrid Battery. If it were the inverter, it'd say Check Hybrid System.

    @NutzAboutBolts has a video on cleaning the fan; there's a link in pinned thread at top of this forum.

    Only thing: I wouldn't pull out the rear seat cushion, not necessary: you just need to reach through, remove one bolt.

    Yea ok and a lot of people on here dont know that a bad waterpump will say check hybrid system also.

    Perhaps, but your point about the inverter is still incorrect. ;)
    A myriad of things can evoke Check Hybrid System...
