What is continuous charging, charging before the charge is depleted?

Turns out I got some great answers. Most of them added up to the fact that I can't justify what decent cordless tools cost vs. my real need for them. I'll be sticking with my $20 pawn shop corded 1/2" DeWalt drill. Maybe some other time.

Yap, it really boils down to that. Everyone's needs are different.

Again, the local hardware fliers I see are awash with these, page after page, usually in pairs: a drill and an impact. Is there a glut maybe?

It's been that way for years as far back as over 10 years ago when I purchased the first set of cordless drill and impact wrench. BTW, I still have corded drill and use it occasionally when the job does not require much portability. But, is (or was) there corded impact wrench (not a pneumatic type, but electric)?

Yeah definitely. The seem to be relegated to the back pages and shelfs now though. I've had this sitting in the "saved for later" section of an Amazon basket for ages now. @Patrick Wong mentioned getting one, got my interest (you may need to turn off adblock to see the link):

I've never really needed it though, and have concerns it's too bulky/heavy for a lot of situtations.

    No concerns on the cost:whistle:?

I got a harbor freight variety for 1/5 of that cost ;).

But it’s canadian money, so it’s play money:p.

A nice tool to have around though(y).

You know: all retailers accept American change up here, but I really hit a wall trying to "pass" Canadian change when I was in Hawaii. Doesn't work the other way, lol.

OK, so there is electric impact wrench. But, that's bit pricey. 249CAD=188USD, you can buy 4 tools cordless set with battery and charger and carrying case now a days.

    Here's my go-to flyer:

eFlyer | KMS Tools & Equipment

I picked up the ladder on the front cover, my son needed one. Man that thing is rock-solid, compared to the ancient wooden clap-trap one I've got. But it keeps me on my toes.

And it says "Featherlite 6' Fiberglass" too. How much does it weigh? I have one of this laddar Gorilla Ladders- Gorilla Ladders . It's built solid. I am sure 500 lb gorilla can climb up on it no problem. The problem, it's too heavy to carry around, so it has became a permanent fixture in my backyard.

I saw the 300 lb rated equivalent in the store, tried opening it up and standing on it: it was rock-steady. Didn't realize it was not the sale one until I got to the cashier, it was at least double the price. A guy helped me, we went over to their warehouse to get one of the on-sale ladder, 250 lb rated, I tried it out too, and could see no difference: it too felt rock-steady, substantial. Easy to carry too: I packed it back to the store no problems.

The fiberglass rails apparently help a lot. The guy that helped me said he has an all-aluminum one, and he's contemplating accidentally-on purpose backing his truck over it, getting one of the sales ones.
