    Go back to Costco and talk to a supervisor about getting his tire staff up to date. The Classic Prius required "extra load" tires because of the size (OEMs were Bridgestone Potenzas), and it was a heavy car for 14" wheels. The hatchback Prius uses 15" wheels, and any standard tire will be fine--XL tires not needed.
