I think that it will be difficult to get great mpg's traveling just 6 miles in stop and go traffic, but I may be wrong. your mileage may vary.
my SO has very similar commute. she is right at 50 mpg as well per her display and since she is driving the 2006, the MFD (unlike my 2010) is probably accurate. she did take one trip out of town that did boost her mileage about 2 mpg so without that trip (all other driving is her commute only) she would be pushing 48 mpg...but once again. all that is possible due to the weather we are having which is basically early May weather in January!@!

Interesting discussion and lots of feedback. For my last 50 miles, i've got about 65mpg. (175-37mpg, 225-41mpg). So, things are improing. But of course, the last few days have been warm (30s) here. Tomorrow we are having a major snow storm; will see how things behave. Anyway, i'll just drive in normal mode for the first full tank, and see what i get on average. Then i'll play around with diff modes, and accessory modifications.
