Crazy text/typing jumping

    Crazoid text/typing problems. Two different. computers and OSs: When typing suddenly starts jumping several characters backwards. Type one character JUMP. Relocate pointer, repeat problem. PriusChat is the only site I have ever seen this. Been going on for many months. ARRRG!

    With two different computers and OS's that is puzzling. All I can think: slow internet on your end? Do a speed test?

    Nope. Have had slower connections, never been as frustrating as this. It is somehow related to the backspace...

    Numlock off? Insert off? This is on a PC, and again: two separate computers kinda nixes that, lol.

    and other websites are fine, and no one else here seeing the problem is mystifying.

    No I don't think so.

    I think it is related to generally poor performance at the server and not echoing back the characters you type in a timely fashion is just ONE of the symptoms.

    If the system presents you with a new page, you MUST wait for it to finish everything it wants to send........even if you can't see it all......because if you don't, it will throw you back to the beginning of the page when it does get done.

    Trying to scroll down a page too quickly gives a result similar to what you describe with typing.

    Next time this happens, I will try refreshing page and waiting a minute.
    FYI: It does go into Insert mode once in a while, too.
