You misunderstand what 2 row means. Does a coolant in a 3 row radiator get passed 3 times? Does coolant in a 4 row radiator get passed 4 times? ALL coolant gets passed through a radiator ONE time.

This is a two row with a double pass feature.

There is a baffle on the opposite side of the tank and directs the fluid accross the middle of the core. The fluid collects on the opposite side of the tank, it flows back accross the core on the bottom.

Images will give you an idea of how it is.

How does that work when the radiator in your picture has inlet and outlet on opposite sides of the radiator? It is 3 pass with those hose attachment points?? Is only 2/3 off the radiator used for engine coolant?

This is info I got from the maker and I know that image is not like mine and I had no idea it was a double pass until he told me those details.

I just thought it was a normal two row at first, then he told me its a double pass also

@whitrzac that is funny I just put some water wetter in last week and it has helped a little, I may just put the rest of the bottle in though as I still have some.

Science would technically be on the side of the aluminum radiator in this case, even if it cooled the engine .1 degree over the OEM one. (And I am not even interested in this honestly). My Irony alarm goes off when I hear Pro- Science people denying it because the forum goblin said it was a good thing.

It seems there are few goblins on this forum with a significant group in Southern California.

Of all the things to worry about in a Prius, the largely bulletproof radiator is at the bottom of my list.

Goblins because they have a differing opinion than you, or? I am also in the camp of not needing this radiator..I was actually goblining on Asuza for it and throwing shade at mudder at the same time.

You would have to have someone custom make you one if you even wanted one.

This is not something you will find for sale.
