    I am trying educate myself about the Prius. Do all new models have CVTransmissions? Thank you.

    The Prius has had a CVT from the beginning. It's a different type of CVT compared to the ones that Ford, Nissan, Subaru or Mercedes uses (and other Toyotas like the Corolla).

    The Prius uses a planetary gear setup (while the other cars uses a cone & belt).
