Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have waxed and polished it 20 times and could not make it look any better. (Please see attached picture)
    Thanks!

Get a body shop to paint it?

My 2010 faded. Paint or replace is the solution...and it will show all marks if not prepped perfect before paint.

The solution is a new spoiler. Around $400 from Toyota.

Refinishing is not cost effective. A quote to refinish was only $20 less than a new one. At least in my area.

Before we sold our 2010 last weekend, it was showing similar fading:(.

But it was 10 years old and sits outside at work, so something was going to give:cool:.

    Could have been worse(y).

    PlastiDip and call it done?

Ours has a few war wounds: I've attempted to close the garage door on it two times, maybe three...

Actually, this is what I had in mind:

    Optimum Clear Coat Restorer

I plan to buy a bottle once it is back in stock and they run their usual 25% off sale. Once the bottle is opened it is only usable for 30 days. So maybe I will see if @raytheeeagle can make arrangements for me to apply it to his recently departed 2010 as well.

Was in a hurry one day at chevron gas station. Wiped a stroke down all the way to the spoiler and left a good streak with the window cleaner scrubber, left marks exactly like the photos. Oh the humanity.

This looks simple to apply. I will give it a try. Thanks!

Be sure to clay the surface and polish with a wool pad prior to applying. The surface needs to have some "bite."

Maybe you can get someone like this guy:

I'm sure for a simple sand and repaint, around $150 CDN? I twigged after watching, this guy's actually in BC, probably greater Van. (Hear the crows??)

It's just black paint. Not hard to remove the spoiler. Just paint it yourself. Unless it's a nearly new car, no one will see the difference.

Maybe a hybrid approach: take it off and hand over to a body shop? That should come in under $100.

Yes. The labor to remove and reinstall the spoiler is minimal.

There is paint time and repair time (for prep). Paint and body labor rates are between $75-$90/hr in this area. I think he mentioned needing up to 1.5 hr for repair time alone.
