Dash lights don't come on, car won't turn off, reverse camera disabled

    2009 Prius, 275,000 miles, just crashed and rebuilt front end.
    Twice now I've started the car, and the instrument panel doesn't light up, the reverse cam didn't work, and the car wouldn't turn off.
    I had to hold the start button for a few seconds, then it turned off.
    Start it back up a couple hours later, all issues gone.
    Twice this has happened, no idea where to even start looking.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hmmmm.
    First made sure the instrument panel dimmer wheel switch is not rolled all the way down and turned off.
    second disconnect the 12V battery wait 5 minutes and plug back in.
    third check the voltage on your 12V battery. If you had is repair and it sat for awhile and it is older it could be dying and you might need a new one.

    Not being able to stop the car and remove the key sounds like a 12Volt battery issue.
    Maybe when the front end was repaired they did not reconnect something........hmmmm

    Sounds like it could be a fault in the combination meter (speedometer - instrument cluster). See the 5th "sticky" thread above - "combination repair -DIY".
