Dash Speaker Bass Blockers Non Functional

    I just installed some new dash speakers in my prius by mounting them using the stock wiring harness with the method described by XS650. The door speakers are still stock and have not been modified. It is not isolated to one speaker either, on both sides all frequencies are played. The capacitors I used as bass blockers were purchased from parts express and are described here:
    100uF 100V Electrolytic Non-Polarized Crossover Capacitor

    I have also included photos of how the capacitor was installed, which was by soldering it to the same mounting points as the previous capacitor. What could cause this? I'm pretty baffled at the moment.

    did you every figure this out? I am trying to do the same upgrade but im thinking of going straight without the bass blocker and no stock cap.
