    • Prius liftback - back on top racing neck and neck with
    • Fusion hybrid - trading the lead, does it have CUV style?
    • RAV4 - still going strong in an SUV/CUV strong market
    • Prius family - still the majority of any series although Tesla continue to grow market share
    • Prius Prime(*) - after four months, continues to suppress Ioniq and Model 3 sales

Looks like if you separate out plugins per manufacturers - then there's about 2K units sold in feb. for the top manufacturers - and still in the single thousands for some others. Not too shabby at all, for a teped economy with low gas prices.

Wow we finally have a Prius killer...the Fusion hybrid.
I didn't see it coming until around December

Per specs, it is a 'head scratcher.' Asking Mr Google: Ford Fusion Hybrid sales jump by a third in LA in June - Autoblog

My experience with a Ford Escape hybrid is it feels and drives like an American boat. I'm thinking Ford may have that part of handing down pat ... easier than the Prius.

Late report: 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid Review

Jeff Cobb's review suggests the Ford Fusion is more competition for the Camry hybrid and that makes more sense.

President's Day is a big sales holiday for some goods.

On Cars.com there are s few 2016 Fusion hybrids listed for nearly $8000 off MSRP, and some 2017's are discounted nearly as much. That puts them under $20k. Ford has to balance all the F150s and Explorers out for CAFE somehow.

If the Prius c is the Aqua in Japan, is it really a Prius?

Prius needs a price cut. Especially with the uncertainty of foreign tax on imports. Also. That's the rav4 hybrid right?

This month should show actual Pacifica hybrid sales. Should be interesting to see it take model x, highlander and prius lowercase v

I saw this too. For a cheapo like me, a deal like this is hard to resist. I have also seen heavily discounted Sonata Hybrids. In fact, this is why we ended up with two non-hybrid Hyundai vehicles. They were both heavily discounted at the time I was shopping.

Makes me wonder if a similar thing will happen with the Hyundai Ioniq once the initial 'honeymoon' period has run it's course?

    Prius + prime (its plug-in) 6.9K
    fusion hybrid + energi 5.8K

These two blow everything else away. Only thing on the horizon that could match is the tesla model 3, but my guess is 2019 is the soonest we will see full production. We should see how the car is reviewed though by the end of the year.

my carpool partner is still disgruntled on how his hybrid Camry options are packaged. In all too many instances, you have to pay a lot just to get a little thing that you did want, along with a bunch of other optional junk that you don't want - but you still have to pay for it or forgo.
oh ... you mean like that chrysler plugin van?

leaf being made in tn could be a problem for nissan. but i suppose once they fall, the rest of the japanese mfgs in the usa will follow. that may mean a price increase, but idk how that will compare to future imports under new regulations and dollar values.

The current problem is that Hyundai doesn't have enough 'trucks'. There are two SUV models, but everything else is a 'car' to buyers looking at crossovers.
