You are getting a Prime, so you will want to charge it.
If you have a 240 outlet anywhere in your garage/car port/ etc., think how you can park so that is near your charging port on the car (passenger side rear) Then either read up on what outlet it is or take a clear photo of it and post it here.

@Rob43 makes a specialty adapter than makes your standard 120 volt cable that comes with the car 'free' work at 240 volts, saving 2 hours per charge time. Buy that for under $50 and your charging greatly speeds up. (Do not use a 120 volt extension cord! No need to burn your hose down) Only use this adapter for charging your Prime, nothing else!

Here are some common 240 volt outlets: (Rated to 250 volts to allow for error)

R is the receptacle, P is the plug 5-15R is the 120 volt outlet we all know and love.
Rows 6, 10, and 14 are the outlets you hope to find in your space.
Rows 1 and 2 should be obsolete, Rows 7, 11, 15 and 18 are for electricity not ideal for charging your car. (Wrong voltage or 3 phase)

If you are unsure, take a picture.

Thanks. For now, I'm sticking with the 120v outlet that's in our detached garage. If we decide to get another PHEV or EV, we'll probably upgrade the electrical system in the garage, but right now we've just got a 20A single circuit that goes from the house to the garage. Our power line is in the alley behind the house, so we'd probably have a second service set up for the garage in order to let us get time-of-day billing for the cars (rather than trenching another line back from the house).

For a Prime, a 6-20R plug is fine, if you are considering a BEV later, a 14-50R makes more sense. or even a 14-60R A 100 Amp service could have both.

I would love that feature. Will ask the dealer to do it for me. Thanks!

    >> ALL WINDOWS DOWN is a handy feature to request. <<

Sounds nice. How is this operated with the fob?

Can the Carista App make these changes and additions?

I dont have the car yet but found this on youtube.
Looks like holding down a key will bring all windows down at the same time.

    Just answered my own questions.

    When turned on, the 2020 Prius Prime all windows down fob button is;

    <press unlock> <press-hold unlock>

This is going to be nice next summer in Texas

(tip... the only apparent way to then close the windows is with ignition on to manually use the window buttons to close the windows)

Carista does indeed allow setting this and other "dealer" settings yourself... not free, $40/yr and it works with a generic obd2 ELM327 bluetooth adapter. (7 day free trial) I have not found any other apps that allow controlling these settings.

The Carista settings do include a "close all windows with door key" option... time to cut a new key and see it it works together with the fob.

Can I have the dealer do it for me when I purchase the car? Will they charge me for the key fob option?

I just sent an email to the dealer a few days before I picked up my car and asked him to have the team that finalized the delivery make the change. There was no charge. They also changed the reverse beep to a single beep and turned off the "theme music" on startup without me even asking. (I don't know that every dealer does this though, so it would probably be a good idea to request that.)
