Next time use a hairdryer to warm the badge and adhesive, then dental floss it off. It's a lot easier that way.

Oh and pics or it didn't happen!! ;)

I had picked up my car at Toyota Irvine and the service was the best I've ever had at any dealer. Capo Toyota is a huge rip off

I think it would look better without the rear window wiper........

It would look a lot better if it looks like a 2017 NSX

Have you tried debadging the rear "T"? I am planning to do so for plastic dipping. Also I am wondering how to put it back on without it falling apart.

There was some clean adhesive left on the car. I used that. It's stuck pretty good.

The only concern I have with debadging is if you're ever in an accident where you need to be cut out, you wouldn't want some rookie firefighter cutting into high voltage cables and starting a fire. But I think the car shuts down if the airbags deploy anyway. Just a concern for some. I have a Ct200h and I want to take off the hybrid badging. haven't gotten around to it.

I'm considering debadging my car, if all i need is either thick waxed dental floss or mason string, i'll probably do it sometime this month or next.

You also need a hair drier or heat gun to do the job properly.

This guy has a good video. Check out:

When I am in front of other cars, and they are left to stare at my sleek "Z" tail lights, want them to damn well know that a PRIUS HYBRID has just cut their asses off!

Thanks to the OP, I felt comfortable debadging my 2018, 4th generation Prius Three.

This is my fourth car to debadge and probably the easiest. After using a hair dryer the heat up the metal and the logo, I used a thin string that was used to tie information tags to a guitar amplifier as opposed to using something thin like dental floss. It went through like butter.

I got as much of the residual adhesive off by rolling my fingers over it and removed the last bits with a microfiber cloth and WD-40.

As for the whole emergency personnel knowing it's a hybrid... Other than the incredibly common Prius body style that is not found anywhere else (minus that one Honda copy), the Toyota logo (which I kept on the front and back) includes the blue ring.

I was told I got one of the last of the two
dozen Priuses shipped to Southern California dealers. As the new model is coming out in a month at the time of this writing, I just hope that the prices don't suddenly go down.

By the way, if you are in SoCal, the absolute best price without trying to pit one dealer against another was from Alex at Carson Toyota. Due to logistics and timing (including 2" of rain over a five hour period, causing a mudflow up to my house), I spent an extra hundred dollars and bought from Chris M. at Toyota of Escondido.
