    That's not a problem -- until it is. :whistle:

    I had never changed the battery in any of my smartkey Prius fobs until my Subaru fob died after two years this past December. Figured after 14 some years; time to change the Prius fob batteries.

    In my 2010, I was out shopping with my niece one day when a message came up on the dash MID telling me to change the fob battery.

    So we picked one up at our next stop, and I changed it. :)

    Yah, a dead fob battery isn't really a problem even if you manage to miss the warning message.

    BTW, @cyberpriusII, I just noticed that your location changed unless I'm having false memories. When did you move to my birth state?

    Had no idea a message would display on the dash. Darn, I probably wasted $8 on unneeded fob batteries.

    That's correct, the Gen 2 doesn't put up a message on the MFD.
