My battery dies if I don't drive it after 3-4 days so I probably need a new battery. I went to start it to see if it was dead and was about to jump start my car but there's a weird clicking noise from under the hood. Is it safe to charge or should I just leave it be?

yes, safe to charge. probably a relay trying to close but the voltage is too low. charge it up and put a maintainer on it, even if you buy a new one

You mentioned "jump start" and charging; two different things.

It certainly would be OK to try and charge it with an actual charger since the current is limited.

Jumping it from another battery or other high current "jump device" might not be such a good idea though.
