I have a dead hybrid battery out of a 2003 Prius... it was left without use for about 3 months and now it will not turn on.. i took apart the hybrid battery and checked the battery cells voltage and only 1 of them is marking 6.8 and the redt of them are marking 2.3, 3.4, etc all really low voltage... i find it hard to believe that the voltage is so low on 37 of the cells after having worked fine 3 months ago, there must be something making them go that low... should i tear it apart and check each cell individually?

You may need to get a new battery, they do wear out, especially if yours is the original from 2003

2003 or 2013, or do you have two cars?

If you already have the battery case open and have measured voltage of each of the 38 modules, what more is there to tear apart? In any event, that battery is dead - take it to your local household recycling collection point and be done with it.
