I recently encountered a problem with my 2006 gen 2 prius. I was driving from a large hill which charged up the hybrid battery to full. After that the red triangle appeared with the parking lock error message. After a week I installed a new 12v battery, which measured 12.6v at the jumping terminal. As the parking lock error did not go away, I tried to jump the p-con fuse from the blue wire in the white wire harness above the fuse box. As I did that I accidentally shorted the blue wire and now the power button is unresponsive. Interior lights work as well as the locks, headlights, horn etc. I checked the fuses in both fuse box locations, also the big 120A fusible(also for continuity...they were good) The only light on the dashboard that lights up is the open door light.
I don't what else to check, it's my only car now.
