We have an 04 Prius and are the original owners.

I think we have a dead spot on our touch screen. I am unable to adjust the bass in the sounds menu. I can do the (-) so it's all the way at the bottom, but no matter where I touch the (+) I cannot get it to move. This is the only menu where we have the problem. It's been like this for a while, but it is primarily my husband's car, so I forgot about it until I had the car yesterday and the sound was making me crazy.

Does anyone know a way to reset the screen or fix that spot?

    Thanks!

    1. Try hitting the MFD enclosure with your hand (not too hard) to see if that helps.
    2. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal for a few minutes so that hopefully will reset the radio to factory default settings.
    3. Replace the MFD (but this will be at least a high three-digit repair cost if you can get a remanufactured part.)
