Dealership pulled up a stored C1202 code during a pre purchase inspection

    I joined when I bought my Prius. Came looking for information and wasn’t disappointed. Then the head gasket blew and got disappointed. Then I proved you can put a Gen 4 engine into a Gen 3, either intact or in pieces, and got happy again. LoL

    honestly, if the only problem with these cars can be cured by an egr clean that you do once every 100k miles...I'm kind of ok with that ;)

    Yes, also add an OCC while you're at it with the EGR system. Will also help prevent EGR clogging and HG failures.(y)

    I wonder if just doing seafoam treatments once or twice a year wouldn’t solve this issue?

    Injection of seafoam into the intake while the car idles

    Will keep the intake clean

    Probably even help keep the egr clean
