Engine running more than usual will definitely drop mpg.

Could be various causes. Maybe engine not warming up enough, for some reason? Thermostat? Water pump failing? Sensor failing? Though the latter would probably display a warning light and code.

It could be a combination of things, i.e. engine/suspension/breaks/ failing battery due to summer heat ..

Is your A/C working full bore? It might need a recharge.

    Pixel XL ?

I currently have about 125k on my 2013.

I’ve done all the recommended maintenance to date.

My MPG has dropped at least 5MPG driving at the same average speed of 65 MPH, at the same tire pressure, etc.

One maintenance that has not been performed is the EGR System disassembly and cleaning of the carbon buildup.

If I ever get this service done, I believe my MPG will be back to normal.

'Nother thing to try: a fuel injector cleaner, the kind you pour in to the tank when doing a fill up. Look for one with PolyEtherAmine (PEA).
