Couple other things Gore and Kerry would not have done. 1.) Would not have ignored the warnings from the Clinton transition team about OBL. 2.) Would not have ignored the NSC memo (copy below) warning about Al Qada. 3.) Would have paid attention to the August 2001 PDB outlining al qada's intent to use airplanes as bombs on an attack inside the US.

Don't worry. Hillary and her VP, Barack Obama, will get us out of there.

This war is unwinnable, unless victory is defined as a Shiite hegemony in that region of the Middle East and an Iraq that is a puppet state of the Iranian Mullahs.

The Democrats are being set up by the Republicans as the leftist wimps who refused to support the effort to create a democratic Iraq and thus being responsible for the eventual defeat and our ultimate withdrawal.

This is an old tactic by warmongering leaders who have overestimated their own abilities.

We are too smart to fall for that.

Hmmmmmm, not wanting to be overly harsh to a n00b but what should our response have been to the terrorist? Or to the fact that after killing hundreds of thousands of people, defying almost every mandate from the UN, constantly shooting at our troops enforcing the UN enacted "No Fly Zone" in Iraq and trying to rebuild it's WMD's (confirmed by the 9/11 Senate Subcommitte) we should have done with Iraq?

    Great Asimov quote!

Wildkow: At least you know invading Iraq was the wrong response. Smarter people would have come up with a less bloody solution. In this and other threads people have answered your question over and over..only for you to respond the same way. Where have I seen this before..?

Right, stay the course no matter how many die or how idiotic you look...

The response should have been to go after the terrorists who attacked us. I'd accuse you of exaggerating your facts, which lessens your credibility,.... except you don't have any.

The entire world through the UN has been trying to get Iraq to comply with UN mandates since the end of the First Gulf War! Surely there were some smart people around then that could have solved this problem without bloodshed.
