Despite the Synthetic Oil requirement, 5000 mile change intervals are still "required"

    For anyone else who may be interested... i got a reply from Linear Logic to this question:

    George,

    Unfortunately, there is not a way to link two units of a different fuel type and make them work accurately. I am passing word along to the developers to see if there is any way to get around this and to sense when the vehicle is actually working in ICE. Currently, the ScanGaugeII shuts off when it stops receiving particular information from the ECU. We may be able to modify the readings but I am not sure.

    i thought CANVIEW did provide that info? granted its on a per trip basis, but seems to me that it provided the option to download that info regularly. i would have to assume some sort of program (excel, Calc, etc) would be needed to manage the numbers

    I use 5w-20 in my 2006 prius, oil, filter and rotate tires....23.95.
    Buy a 2010 and it costs $65.00!
    Lose my backup screen
    can't get leather without heated seats...Live in florida
    Can't get outside mirror turn signals
    I lose my auto-dim mirror

    My 2006 looks better everyday I look into buying a 2010.

    Can't image how much it costs to replace a light bulb, probably have to take out another loan.:eek:

    The good news is the ii-IV Gen 3s use standard halogen bulbs. ATP package has LEDs.:)

    I got the oil change after I b$tch about them putting 5 w20 in
    now it back to 0 w20
    , I wonder if the mileage will go back up, down around 5 l/ 100 km, but it has been around -10C the last week
    not cold like Edmonton, but you got to be nuts to live there anyway :D, but -10C is to cold for me
