Ahh, but (for me at least) there was a cost difference of ordering direct. In my case it was $135 with the group buy vs $159 ordering direct. Perhaps the price has changed.

 

Sorry if these questions have been asked before - can't find them answers...

1) I have a 2006 #6, and I'm wondering if the DICE will affect my existing AUX jack - I assume I'll still be able to use it right?

2) I seem to remember reading about a device that was similar to this one, but would also have a video input - maybe the VAIS? Is that true?

3) Does the DICE only allow you to browse your music by playlist? Or can you browse by Artist/Album/Song hierarchy like in iTunes?

1) You can still use the AUX

2) By pressing D1, it changes songs within a playlist, D2 changes playlist, D3 changes albums and D4 changes chapters. D5 switches between the iPod and the AUX input of the DICE.

1. The AUX jack will still work fine.

2. Vais has a product (AVIC-100i) that supposedly allows video as well. However, that product is currently unavailable (they're redesigning it, i believe), and i'm not sure when it will be available.

3. I'm not entirely sure how it all works, but you can access different ways of browsing through the different CD changer buttons in the MFD... do a search, there's another thread on here with something like 20 pages (from the first group buy), and in there the operation is fully explained.

Having been 13 days since we had last heard anything from our good buddy Danny, i have to admit doubt had started creaping into my mind...

But now, i can't wait to get the unit and tear apart my dash, yet again!

I cant seem to get the album / artist/ song to show up. I have the 06 PKG 3 - w/o NAV / w/o JBL/ w/o cd changer. It is the one that can play MP3 and has the Aux IN jack at the center console. The radio can display cd text when I play a cd. It does seem to toggle thru playlists and can on see the 1-6 buttons, track and track time on the MFD but no album, artists or song. Has anyone run into this problem.

Actually we have only just finished doing our beta testing on the 2007
Prius. It works great! We have not yet had a chance to update our website
to reflect these changes but if you'd like, you can place an order online
selecting the 2006 model. The code ended up being the same so what you get
will work just fine with the 07 model.

This is with the DICE, right? It won't display album/artist/song unless it's on D1 and on Title. D2-D4 shows the title and only what that button is controlling (ie D2 shows PLAYLIST). If not you may need to check your connections. Is the iPod playing?
