    Considering that I've now been lied to, then ignored by Vagabond, I may have to go that route. I'm off to finde where in the FTC I need to direct a letter regarding DICE's failure to provide the promised warranty service. I suppose the CA Attorney General's office would be good, too. Anyone in CA want to direct me to any other consumer protection agencies?

    I'm not ignoring you - I can't replicate your issue, and you're using an older iPod which could be the issue. We've talked about this before. I also promised you that I would have your issue looked at again by the engineers just to be sure. And it's still on their list, I know they will visit it again when it's up on that list.

    Well, use an older iPod to try to replicate it. DICE must have one, as they've clearly documented that they work together.
    Give me an exact date by which this will be done. As I've pointed out, DICE has been aware of these issues, yet has done nothing to fix them, for over two months. The warranty states "DICE Electronics products carry a one year limited warranty that protects you from defects in material and workmanship of products sold by DICE Electronics or its authorized agents, distributors and dealers." Nothing has been done to correct this defect in workmanship.

    We have 3rd gen iPod's, and we tested the radio in your car.

    The warranty also says we can inspect and test all products prior to a warranty claim adjustment. It shouldn't be too long.

    Why is it that _I_ always have to follow up for _your_ problems? You sit on the problem for a week, doing absolutly nothing, until I complain in public. Then, you respond in 4 minutes.

    This has been ongoing for months. I just PAID to return a unit which was swapped a few weeks ago (and had exactly the same problems). Why don't you just send me an updated one? If that's the solution, why didn't you contact _me_ already?

    It's DICE's problem, it should be DICE doing the work to fix it, not the customer.

    We are and were working on it. Now we are at the point and it's time to test it in your car with your iPod to see if it fixed the issue for you.

    Let's see, last time you wanted me to fill out some RMA form on a web site, using a number you gave me. That site expected me to provide a credit card number (why does DICE feel it can't trust me, when the fact is that it's DICE which hasn't delivered on its promises?) DICE then sent a replacement unit, and I was expected to return the old one AT MY COST, which I did.

    Now, you want me TO SEND THIS UNIT, AT MY COST to you so you can do an update. You have my address, I already told you to send another replacement if you feel that will fix the issue.

    Sorry, I've already paid for a working product. Any costs from here on are costs which DICE will have to pay under warranty. That warranty, BTW, in its entirety, reads:

    (The retailer said contact DICE) There is nothing in the warranty which requires me to return the product. If you need to upgrade it, stop on by, just let me know when you're coming.

    DICE is really a f*'d up company.
