    I've always named my cars. The Prius is Priscilla. We've had Sally, Roxy, Sue and Wanda!

    She didn't even make it out of the dealer parking lot without a name. (I made that mistake on my last car, she didn't get a name right away and I got three tickets. Since then, none.)

    Of course. I name all my vehicles. Mom and Dad always did this and all 4 of us kids do it too.. Not sure why they did that, but it seems normal to me.

    1991 RX7 was "Roxy"
    2000 RX300 was "Lexy"
    2004 M3 was "Casper the Rasper" (he was Alpine White and had a raspy exhaust note)
    2006 BMW R1200GSA is "Gretel"
    2011 Highlander is "Hugo"

    I have a 2011 in sandy beach. I call her- what else- Sandy. I have a 2001 volvo XC 70 which is called many unflattering names, mostly POS

    Mine is 'Iris', just as my 2004. The name is in honor of Iris Ovshinsky, who, with her husband Stan, developed the Ni-MH battery that made Prius possible. Let us never forget these two important people.

    My daughter calls my Winter Gray '07 "Chubby Bunny" because she says it looks like a fat bunny with its ears lying back. She doesn't know that on April 5 she'll be getting Chubby Bunny for her seventeenth birthday. By then my new 2012 Sea Glass Pearl, trim five, with misty gray interior will be here, and this time I'm naming my car Misty before my daughter dubs it with something silly, too.

    Stephen Fry calls his sat nav voice "The Navigatrix" as she speaks in a voice that must be obeyed.
    I haven't settled on a name for my Prius. "Serena" has a sense of clam about it. If I convert my number plate to letters I get anagrams like "Yogi Ax", "Yogi Xi" and "Ox I Gay", so that's no help.
    Hmmm.
