just installed xenon supply 6k... And im a little disappointed in the light output. Does anyone know if the morimoto 50w ballast will make it brighter?

If you're disappointed with the output of the 6000k kit, then the best thing I can suggest is to get 5000k bulbs either from Xenon Supply or another company. A 50w ballast on the 6000k bulbs will make them slightly brighter, but you'll have much more heat output from the bulbs and that may cause melting of your headlight housing. Most people here on Priuschat stay away from the 50w ballasts and stick with 35w. If you have good bulbs, with a good temperature (color) range, your light output should be much better than the stock halogen bulbs.

The difference between 35w and 50w is negligible and generally only increases foreground lighting which is bad for distance vision. The only reliable way to increase intensity is go with a 4300k or 5000k bulb and or a projector retrofit with a good projector. Check with TheRetrofitSource.com for materials pricing and information for a retrofitter if you do not want to do the work yourself.

Not worth it. Light out put will be brighter but the bulbs life span will be cut in half. Then there is the extra heat.....who knows if the Prius projector can handle it.

I would also suggest u ditch the 6K bulbs & go with 5K. The higher the "K" the lower the output.

As F8L said, if its performance ur after then I suggest doing a HID projector retro.

4300K is the colour you should be using. They colour shift up to around 5000K anyways. Get good bulbs in that kelvin rating and output should improve.
