    Amazon has the
    8171-767 (DS46B24R) YellowTop
which according to their site is 26lbs and is 9.9 x 5.1 x 8.9 inches.

    Amazon also has the
    8171-767-FFP (DS46B24R) YellowTop
which according to their site is 29.2lbs and is 12.4 x 11.9 x 5.6 inches.

What's the story? What's the difference between these two batteries? Why such a large difference in size? Which is the one that is a direct drop-in replacement for a 2010 Prius (Gen III) without needed any adapters or kits?

    Thanks so much!!!

do they both fit 2010? for gen II, there was an sks battery, and non sks. but i don't think that's the case for gen III, they are all sks. maybe you should measure your battery. i think jimbo palmer listed the correct optima numbers somewhere.

[Just guessing] I bet one specifies the shipping weight and dimensions and one is the weight and dimensions of the bare battery. [/end of guess]

I think I cracked the code: I think FFP = Amazon's Frustration Free Packaging

Amazon shouldn't have added the FFP to the model number... that just causes confusion!
