I'm still getting use to the center dash design. When I look at my steering wheel at night the buttons are barely lit. I'm assuming there is no way to make them brighter? Brightness control does not seem to affect the steering wheel.

Same on the Prius C - I can see the steering wheel lights only in almost complete darkness. Other C owners report the same thing.

Just look at the touch-tracer display on the dash.

I don't think there are lights on the steering wheel or I have never seen them. In no time you will be able to just feel and use the buttons.

The controls on the steering wheel are dim and there is no way to adjust them. But, like others say...use the touch tracer. Once you get use to the controls and where they are located at, there is no need to look down.

I just feel the entire driver side of the car is very dark. The windows controls, locks, etc. I would prefer if there was a very faint LED light over the dash or something like that.

That's the design of Toyota. Don't know why they think this brigness(visible in almost total darkness) is suitable.
However lots of drivers like the brightness to be more,at least 40-50% more, I like.

Since 2004 . . . . welcome to one of Toyota's biggest bitch-fest's. We've been complaining about pathetic lighting and the inability to adjust it now for what . . . . . 8 or 9 years? As Barney Feif used to say
    " . . . nothing here to see folks . . . . move along - move on" :p

There's research out there that shows that highly different lighting levels between the cabin and the exterior are detrimental to driver safety. I still don't understand why you're looking down at the steering wheel when the controls are mirrored up front by the speedo.

I prefer the cabin to be darker. I hate the led light that hovers above the shifter and floating dash. I also hate how the ready, headlight and fog light icons are constantly bright. I guess I am one of the few that light a darker interior.

Ironically it's hard to see the brightness controls for the dash and the headlight stick since they are not illuminated directly. The steering wheel controls for phone, radar adjustment are either not lit or very faint.

Not a big deal for me, but it does seem odd.
