    There are a fair number of atypical or non-typical racks that are deformed from injuries or problems during the antler growth phase, sometimes producing bizarre distortions. Some are an asymmetric and tangled mess with an absurdly high numbers of 'points'. Here is just one random example of very many such curiosities pictured on the web:

    No normal clean symmetric rack will have anywhere near 50 points. But once the 'defective' units are included, it seems as if there is no limit. Some might even be suggestive of an antler version of cancer tumors.
