Hey I just wanted to see what you guys do/use to prevent and clean dirt and scuffs off the plastic surfaces in your Prius? Specifically the door panels and speaker grilles. That's been one of my biggest gripes since picking up mine a couple months ago.

    Thanks everyone!

The only way to prevent scuffs & scratches in the soft Prius plastic is to keep your (and your passengers) nails well trimmed...:)
For cleaning- I use the Armorall interior wipes... they leave almost no lint behind and seem to clean very well.

I use a "Mr.Clean eraser and a little "hand disinfect"

be super careful when entering or exiting the car - take your time.

And tell everyone that wants to ride in your car to take a bus home. :)

I really like Meguiars Interior Detailer.

It just cleans the plastic and doesn't leave any build up or shiny residue, which I like.

I agree. The Meguiar’s Natural Shine Protectant does a good job of clearing any smudges from plastic and is safe for LCD screens. Not really a scratch remover, but removes most marks from the matte plastic surfaces within the Prius.

Not sure we are representing the same products here.
I'm talking about Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner.

In general I think Meguiars products are of good quality.

There are 3 tools I use in interior cleaning and protection. #1 is a small duster, occasional use keeps everything dust free a long time. #2. Meguiars Interior Detailer Cleaner (See Above) and occasionally for long term protection I'll apply a treatment of 303 Aerospace Protectant.

I've been using what I had from my boat, 303 Aerospace cleaner and protectant. Worked so well on the boat, why not? It doesn't have the shiny and greasy feel of an Armour All, and won;t degrade vinyls and plastics like it does. UV protectant worked well, my boat after 7 seasons looked like new when I sold it.

I also notice that Weathertech sells some interesting interior stuff.
