Now, I finally understand why there is a gasket along side the OEM signal. I didn't hear the wind noise though. Will I open up the covers and add the gasket back? Hmm.... not unless I hear the wind noise. I'm lazy.

Any idea how we (who bought our turn signals from various sources) get the gaskets? BTW, I used some black RTV, just a little and smoothed it out with a finger wetted with alcohol. Clear or white RTV silicone is available. This would be a lot easier to seal small crevices than disassembly for a gasket.

I guess I'll check too. I'll have all windows down cruising at various speeds.

I'll report back later.

You could probably use any decent gasket material. Sure wish I knew about this before hand! I don't want to disassemble again.

I don't notice any difference with wind noise on mine.

Perhaps your installer used some gasket material?

He didn't use any material not supplied with the mirrors and I don't recall seeing any gasket.

How about using those door/window closed cell foam weather stripping from homedepot/lowes. However, i don't remember seeing them in black color, typically they are grey color.

Whatever a person uses, would have to be pretty thin or really compressible. There is very little space when the cover is put in place.

 Well, I covered all seams with electricians tape and molded it to the mirrors with no seams and I still heard the wind noise. The new covers are on securely so that's not the problem. Maybe 32K is right, I'm just sensitive to whats going on with those mirrors for a while. I saw that picture with the foam insulator on those OEM Mirrors and thought maybe I was on to something, but nope. Oh well, maybe I will just turn up the radio!

Hey! I've been reading on this LONG post/thread for a few hours now, and finally decided to JUST ASK!!! lol! The person who is getting my body kit (and all the other things from Japan that I am adding to my car) will get these for me as well. But, who over in Japan did you get them from? As opposed to making my buyer hunt far and wide, it would be really nice to just have a direct contact/supplier that we can buy them from and get it over with. Also, is the power-folding option STANDARD in Japan? or is it an added feature that people in Japan have to add to their car? I want the auto-folding mirrors, but don't know if it is already included? Or does it have to be bought separately from another supplier? Thanks! I'm glad to finally be getting this whole modification thing taken care of so I can get on with life! Thanks for any help or guidance with the mirrors (and the power-folding option, if you know anything about it)!

As far as I know, JDM, Taiwan, Hong Kong Prius have OEM power folding mirrors for tight parking spaces. Sigma carries power folding mirrors, OEM mirror signals, and control module separately for close to US$700. I posted an aftermarket combo control module I found on Taiwan eBay that tilt passenger's mirror on reverse & power fold after shutting down (Page 10 #93). I contacted the module seller in Taiwan but it would take alot of work to obtain one. Don't mention about exchange rates, delivery, account, and third party sellers, etc... I used to this feature on my old Civic but it's rarely used in America where parking spots are usually bigger.

Are the signal covers on Sigma, the ones with the puddle lights? It was also confusing on Sigma, cause the signal covers say, "if you plan on getting the motorized mirror housings, these covers are already included in this kit". So, then, where is the Motorized Mirror Housing kit on Sigma's website? Can't find that....

I guess Sigma doesn't sell the motorized mirror housing (MMH) separately. In case you buy the entire sets of side mirrors, you will get the OEM signals, covers, and MMH. Plus $xxx money for the control module. That could be some cool feature but this can also cost you alot.

My mirrors are holding up just fine, not disappointed at all. We will see what happens through an Alaskan winter soon. Leaves already changing colors!

I have a faint whistle from the mirror (was not there prior). It really isn't all that noticeable though.

A few people are having the whistle sound issue but other are not... Cloud was going to report back on that also... Someone was talking about using some silicone trying to seal light fixture.. I hope this will not drive me crazy as rattles in dashboard can get to me sometimes. Many time I don't have any music playing just driving.. At what speed do you start to hear this whistle?
I sent email requesting that they let me know if they can provide hardware in 1F7 Classic Silver Metallic. It would be great if I can get the same deal you did. I would have been thinking by now Danny would have been able to provide this accessory in his store as he got his sample 3 to 4 months ago and said he was going to test product and work on provide this product.
Danny any updates?
