    I do agree. They are just bright enough for someone to look for a quarter-sized object and most of the light falls on the door and reflects. If you have a dark color car, it maybe less effective than a lighter color one. Those 2 pictures are just for comparison purpose since I didn't take them at a totally dark place. My camera just refused to take a picture without over exposure when I took it last evening. I can use my cell phone that doesn't care the light.

    these are really nice and the price is right for a painted part. HOPEFULLY, I can get in on this group buy, but will have to see by this weekend

    We are now having 25 people interested in the lights. Payment method is likely to be PayPal and then wire transfer to HK. The selling price for painted covers is $210.00 (include lights, wires, wire transfer fee, & S&H). Price for unpainted covers is $145.00.
    Prices are not finalized yet because the final shipment pricing is not yet available from the seller.

    Hi Nigel,
    Have you been reading this thread and waited until I came up with a price and bit me like that? I am not doing any business here and absolutely not interested in making money out from members here. If you have the lights the same as I do and can be painted with the price you quoted, please take the list and make everyone happy. So that everyone here doesn't have to wait for weeks or go through all the process and worry about not getting their lights since I am not as "legit" as you are.

    I believe Nigel can help if someone wants those lights at a better price. I'm just glad if he can help getting those lights for everyone at a lower price and quicker delivery.     We don't even know if it's the exact same light. Does it have the welcome light functionality (the Sigma unit lacks that)? Can we get some kind of confirmation?

    I'm going to back out then. I'd prefer to go through the source that started this all that way I know for sure what I'd be getting. If you're still interested CivicSky I'd prefer to stay with you. If not, it's really no big deal. I know this blew up rather quickly and you're probably a bit overwhelmed with it. Either way, just let me know. I have Paypal, I'm ready to go. I have other ways to get them if need be. This just seemed like a quicker way with less hassle.

    At this point I would suggest CivicSky going through with the original plans. I would also like to get in on the group buy action if possible. I'd also love to get in contact with the seller to see if there would be any price breaks for buying up to 200 at a time for resale in the PriusChat Shop.

    I think it's best we stick with CivicSky. Otherwise I'm backing out as well.

    I think adding these to the priuschat shop would be a great idea. These lights seem extremely popular as of now. Much more so than the illuminated emblem.

    I will make a paypal account if needed.

    Kind of difficult to do with them painted in the various colors and getting them unpainted is too much of a hassle if you can order it painted for a few dollars more.

    I can do what we do with the side moldings: split out the order among the 7 colors and order some extras for the most popular colors.
