do all light switch off automatically when parked?

    This only happens when you have the key with you. That was not the case, my key was on my desk on the 3rd. floor. :confused:

    But isn't the Prius battery more like a leisure battery, as in a caravan or RV, which can be drained very low without permanent damage ?

    We just replaced our "abused" battery two weeks ago (it's been drained 3 times because of the stupid automatic headlight that only turns off if the driver's door is opened). It's nearly 6 years old and yeah it was causing some intermittent problems (low mpg, can't sustain the headlights much after the car turns off etc).
